You are the someone. Today is the day.

You don't have to look very far to know that our world is a messed up place. People are hurting. Suffering is everywhere. It can be really overwhelming. You might wonder why someone isn't doing something. Where is the help? Or you may think that if you're going to make a difference, it will be someday ... when you're older, better educated, have more money, or have fewer problems of your own.

Well, this morning when you woke up, there were people around the world and in your own community who were hoping that today might be the day. The day relief from suffering begins. The day someone stepped in between slaves and their oppressors. The day they could feed, clothe, and educate their kids. The day someone showed kindness to them or let them know they had value.

Please. Know this — while you may not be able to do everything — and you can't solve all of the problems alone — working together, our generation CAN make a difference.

Don't wait for someone else. Don't wait for someday. Because YOU are the someone and TODAY is the day.

To Save A Life is a movie about being the someone. Opening Weekend is January 22-24, 2010 but don't wait till then. Today is the day to reach out. Start small: Say hi, introduce yourself, tear down a wall between people — and start spreading the word that To Save A Life is a film that can change a generation. 1. Looks like an awesome movie for teen and adults alike! Thank you for making it!!!

  2. I cannot recommend this movie. The website is full of suggestions to get teens into professional counseling, which is totally contrary to Scripture. Nowhere in God’s Word does He tell us to go to unbelievers for advice about a spiritual problem. Also, the website suggests that teens talk to counselors and teachers. These are the LAST 2 groups of people kids should confide in.

My youth group wuill not be seeing this movie.

  3. Saw the sneak preview….this is a must see movie for teens! Adults have no clue what these teens are going through these days and with the breakdown in verbal communication (due to texting and email) this movie is going to open a lot of eyes to and awareness towards the lost and hurting around us!  Anyone working with or around teens/youth would be showing gross negligence by not taking their teens/youth to see this film!  You could be saving a life! My youth group of 28 and their friends will be seeing this movie, I will make sure of it!  - Bill (Youth Pastor)

  4. I was fortunate to see this movie preview and highly recommend that high school, college students and adults all see it. Believers and non believers alike can benefit from the honesty in which the movie displays real issues in this world. We are lying to ourselves if we do not admit that all these things can or are occuring in todays youth. Let us remember as it shows in the movie, it is not up to us to decide who is worth saving and who is not. We should just be obedient and let God do the rest; “To Save A Life!”
Well done, I will see that our church youth go to it and will recommend it to the cmmunity churches as well!

  5. i saw the movie banner on Air1.com and i decided to check it out, and i was pretty impressed. I am 16, and i am a student in a small town (look kinda small to me). I am currently a president of a Christian Club in my school. We are just a small group, but when i showed the trailer of the movie, our members were pretty impressed. There are not many movie out there that would actually speak to teenagers like me to speak out and help each other. And i just wish to see many students of my school to be able to see this movie. But there is no showtime in my town. This movie would change my community a lot, especially people in my school

  6. One concern I have is the lack of giving God the glory on this website.  There is info and stuff a youth leader or pastor can purchase…but where does it show this info talks about God?  Should I roll the dice and purchase a series of lessons and hope I can use it with our youth group, not!  And should I take our youth group and watch this movie that seems to be embarrassed to glorify God on the website?  It seems that God is left out of the website in order to sell more tickets.
